On Hold

Thanks everyone for your interest in this project.

For the time-being, the project is going on hold.

We were extremely lucky with Recycle and Extra Track, in that we never encountered any difficulty from the labels or artists. Bit by bit, though, we've been getting scattered takedown requests, so all the downloads are being removed effective today. Recycle has been online for 3 whole years, and Extra Track has been complete for 7 months. Rather than see them disintegrate over time, we've made the decision to pull them down all at once.

I understand Mute is vigilant in having music by their artists removed from download sites. Both Mute and Nitzer Ebb have meant the world to me over the years, and I don't want to do anything that would piss them off.

Until we obtain consent, Force Is Machine will have to remain my dream project, unfulfilled.

Join In The Chant!

This is the future home of Force Is Machine, compiling Nitzer Ebb's singles from 1984-1995 in order, by the same crew that brought you New Order/Joy Division Recycle and The Smiths' Extra Track (And A Tacky Badge). Stay tuned!
